BSc Specialist Practice in Health and Social Care - Multiple Sclerosis Modules
Psychosocial Perspectives in MS (GM6561)
Monday 11th - Wednesday 13th October 2010 (plus 2 days e-learning)
By offering the module in this way, BCU is able to provide teaching and education in a more exciting and innovative way which provides you with a more convenient way of developing your knowledge base. It is also anticipated that it will be more acceptable to your managers, particularly in the current economical climate.
This module will allow the student to explore issues around the psychological assessment that needs to be carried out with people affected with MS. There will be a variety of experienced tutors who will work with the students to explore cognition issues as well as depression. There will be further scope to debate issues surrounding sexuality and relationships areas that are often neglected despite the fact they can have far reaching implications. Gender issues will also be discussed.
If you require any further information, please contact Nicki Ward-Abel on 0776 9687722/0121 331 7175 or email nicki.ward@bcu.ac.uk .
All modules are at BSc level and are open to all health and social care professionals. The cost of each module is £400. Applications are via the Admissions Department. Please phone or email Claire Boulter in admissions for an application form (you need to complete one of these to undertake the module) on 0121 331 5500.
